The Do's and Don'ts of Painting Cement Siding

The first thing you need to do is wash away any dirt and grime before painting the Eco-Arch cement fiber shingles siding. This could be air through a pressure washer which jets water into the material but you can even do it in your backyard, just use a hose with spray nozzle. After power washing the siding, make sure it is fully dried before continuing to organize. This is going to help the paint adhere well. 

Repair any cracks or holes: If there are some cracks and pits then, you need to repair them first. If slight gaps do materialize, use a patching compound for filling in these spots. Fill the holes with it and smoothen out the surface. When dry, sand with a coarse grain to feel smooth. This will paint nice and smooth.
